27th IBD Youth Talent and Career Fair: Smart Models and Graphs for STEM Students using MS Excel
February 6 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Do you remember how units such as Numerical Methods and Adjustment Computations (used to) appear complicated to you as a college student taking a STEM course? Looking back, experienced pracademics can now state that the approach to teaching these units in college has been celebrating “the vainglorious mystery of moving from the simple to complex as opposed to simplifying the complex using real-life examples”. The trainer in this focused seminar will use common data to showcase how to use MS Excel for smart solutions that require applied numerical methods and smart graphs, in a highly simplified and application-ready manner.
Target audience: College students in advanced years and professionals engaged in processing and analysing various datasets to be presented in technical reports, projects, or theses. To final-year MMPE students at TTU, attending this seminar will be a double gain as a tutorial in applied statistical methods, theory of errors, and BSc project reports.
Pre-requisite: Mathematics or engineering knowledge equivalent to 2nd-year university level.
Slots available: 100.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
