Easter’s here once again this year

To fill our minds with memories so dear

From East to West, North, South and here

All Christians unite to bring the cheer

Selah

So what about this day I hear?

Of Christ the saviour viewed so dear

Or let me ask around just here

Maybe I’ll know ‘cause they look bright for sure

I ask my Dad, he talks of Jesus’ death

Scared about it I run to Mum who’s so great in faith

She talks of resurrection – so ambiguous I guess

But still choose to believe since I’m no Einstein in this

Selah

Just a bit curious, I ask my sisters

Rolling their eyes, they say it’s just like Christmas

Asking for clarification they put me off for being too curious

They say all that matters is meeting friends-just as they did last year
